Warm greetings to the people of Japan
The people of the Eastern Cape are honored to be linked to you.
We have experienced the warmth and hospitality of the Japanese people
through visitors to the province and those that have decided to invest in art
shores.
The Eastern Cape boasts pristine beaches, wonderful weather, warm people
and the best economic growth in the country.
It is the best place to live and invest in as shown by the number of international
companies that have invested in our province.
This province is home to the world famous leader former President Nelson
Mandela and the current President Thabo Mbeki and many other leaders.
This is home to the big five and has many parks and heritage sites.
The notion of 'rainbow nation' is evident in our province. It is a 'melting pot' of cultures and religions.
We are looking forward to a very warm and lasting relationship with Japan.
Remember we are hosting many international competitions and our province is ready to host your teams anytime.
We will be in Japan on the 17-21 September 2005. We would like to invite you to be part of us during this time.

日本の皆様へ御挨拶
東ケープ州の人々は、皆様と御知り合いになれたことを光栄に思っております。
我々は、観光でいらっしゃった方々をはじめ、芸術分野で既にビジネスを始めていらっしゃる日本の皆様より、温かい親切なもてなしを受けております。
東ケープ州は、自然のままの海辺、すばらしい天候、思いやりのある人々、そして躍動感のある経済を誇りに思っております。
幾多のグローバル企業が既に投資をしていることからも、わが州が居住地、投資先として優れていることがお分かり頂けると思います。
わが州は、ネルソン・マンデラ前大統領やターボ・ムベキ現大統領をはじめとする、世界的に有名な指導者を輩出しております。
わが州は、ビック・ファイブ（ライオン、ヒョウ、象、バッファロー、サイ）の生息地であり、また幾多の公園や世界遺産がございます。
「レインボーネイション」（虹の国）、また文化・宗教の「るつぼ」という表現がとても合うのが我々の州です。
我々は、温かく末永い日本との関係を期待し楽しみにしております。
また、たくさんの国際競技を主催していることを覚えておいて下さい。わが州は、日本代表団員の皆様をいつでも歓迎致します。
我々は、2005年9月17日から21日まで日本を訪問致します。その際、皆様と御一緒したいと思います。
